First track day in Festa ….

Finally Monday came and it was the first track day for Festa and I to do.  Never driven her before, so was very nervous.    Early start, with the weather not looking great!   James Auld a very good mate came down for the day to instruct.  He had a task and a half!  Had the briefings, and sighting laps and then it was down to me to get going!
We were very unfortunate that the weather wasn’t great all day.  It was wet and raining for most of it!  Had  3 spins, luckily all into the ‘in field’! I thought I was cutting the barley with the spin at bobbies I went so far in!  Came back into the paddock and straight over to the Dunlop truck as they were washing there trucks off, to ask if they could also wash Festa down before I went back to  rest of the Team, so they didn’t have to see what a mess I got her into.  They did a good job, just a shame Dad found me before they had finished it.
Did around 50-60 laps in the end, many with James and a few on my own.  Just a shame the weather never improved, so I had no dry running all day.
