Bronwyn and I completed the 10k race for life at Lydiard park yesterday. First time for the 10k one! We managed it in 1hr and 35 mins, so on target for what we wanted to do it in and we even managed to sprint the last 60metres or so to the end

WET practice – First wet qualifying in Festa. Spent a bit of the time on the grass at Quarry or Tower, only managed a 1.35! Qualified 25th out of 30! Not too bad for the first wet quail done!

I will be racing in the CCRC Saloon & Sportscars Open Race on the saturday and then the Championship round of the National Mobile Windscreens Saloon Championship on the Sunday. So hopefully a fun packed weekend ahead!
The track day didn’t go as well as hoped.   Unfortunately while Dan was driving the car, he had a spin at Quarry and when we went to drive away it didn’t really want to. We stopped and under investigation we had a sheared a back brake disc and this ended our play for the day.

So much for one track day and then just the season of racing, this is going to be my fourth and its not even a quarter of the way through the season yet!!!!

Finally another couple of track days booked and the first one tomorrow. Both at Combe and all being well, i’ll be racing on May bank holiday, so fingers crossed all goes well and we have some fine weather for the days.Â
